It is a simple apparatus which we named MORFEO (MORPHEOS), in honor to the mythological God of the sleep, and it is patented (protected by the Office for Patents and Brands with the number U201100347).
It consists of two thin transparent sheets or splints, adapting to the upper and lower teeth, connected with small elastics which tend to move forward the jaw, keeping the mouth closed (and breathing through the nose) when the person is sleeping or relaxing.
They are very inexpensive braces. They are simple, comfortable and easy to use. Very effective in light and restrained cases, or when the patient does not tolerate the respiratory compressor (CPAP), or when the patient cannot use it (travelling, excursions).
